Life on earth is possible because of water around and everywhere.
And it exists in 3 different states, namely,
solid in the form of ice, liquid in the form of creeks, rivers, lakes and the bigger ones which are the seas and the oceans, and lastly, gas in the form of steam or vapors. Even beneath the earth there is a vast reservoir of water that's waiting to be tapped sooner. At least the Holy Bible says so. Anything on earth can't survive for long without water, may it be human, animal or plant. Everything we know about life in this planet came to being because of the presence of water. Nothing around us and no one can live without water, or may live for few days only but not for longer. It's an absolute necessity and composition for every living thing there is. That's why water is life and the absence of water is death, a very true thing in our planet. Today's weather is hotter than it used to be, from daytime onwards through the night, bringing restlessness and great discomfort. And all we have for remedy is fans and airconditioning, and drinking and bathing in lots of water. A cold water from the fridge proves very satisfying for bodies that are draining with fluid because of the heat and the rising temperatures especially during the day and it may seem like it's all good and does no harm at all to the body. But the truth is drinking cold water may interrupt the blood flow and blood circulation in our bodies causing some headaches just like what we feel when we eat ice cream. Humans are warm-blooded beings and as much as we can, we have to hold on to that very nature of ours. Every time we eat or drink something cold, it has a bad effect in our system. The moment cold water goes down our esophagus we immediately feel like something inside is frozen or at least stalled, and that is, the blood flow that's moving in that part of our body. Circulation may still be going on but it's already disrupted or slowed down a bit. And we are talking about just one part or some parts in our bodies with that kind of slowed-down circulation but that will immediately affect the circulation in all parts in no time.
Normal blood circulation
is like a city street that is smooth and well-paved and full of vehicles moving steadily along the length of the highway without any delay. But when the road is rough or when something along blocks some part of the highway, traffic will be affected and will move slower, and if the road is completely blocked, then traffic is paralyzed. The same thing happens to our blood circulation. Drinking cold water interrupts the flow of blood in the part right where the cold water makes contact, and then affects the whole body circulation immediately. There are some reports over the years about athletes who drank cold water right after a play, say basketball, and right there and then, collapsed and never made it to the hospital alive. While some people blamed heart diseases and other ailments caused the fatality, a lot of people already believed that the culprit was cold water drank during or right after the game which caused some parts of his body to be disrupted or even cut of the normal blood circulation. How much more if the water was ice-cold? During intense activities, the heart pumps faster than usual causing a faster blood circulation all over. The heart beats faster and we breathe faster too. And when one part suddenly slows down due to cold water, then the blood piles up suddenly in that area causing ruptures in the veins, and this could be fatal. The right way to drink water is drinking it warm or at least at room temperature when breathing returns to normal and the body has relaxed and rested. And while it doesn't taste like the cold one and it may not be as refreshing, at least it will not cause us any harm. The very same thing is true with taking a bath right after some strenuous activities or games, and even after doing some household and outdoor chores. At this time the body is in heat and the muscles are tired and worn out, so it is not advisable to wash or bathe right away even when it feels like it's sticky and sweaty and smelly. The body should relax and rest for few hours before it is given a wash. Even if it's just tap water or water at room temperature, still the body has to take a significant amount of time to rest, relax and recharge before bath.
The same is true of taking a bath
right after meals or even some snacks. The blood circulation at this time is faster because there is a good deal of work to be done right in the stomach, that is, to digest the food and anything else eaten. The blood rushes to our midsection to bring the much-needed oxygen and aiding the whole digestive process. There's no way to disrupt the flow of blood for it will cause some damage or harm to the system. An hour or two after meals is ideal for the body, but not right after filling the stomach with food. Again, the same thing is true for girls or women having their monthly period. They feel very uncomfortable and feel hot inside and out. These days they are used to having their daily ritual of bathing even during the several days of menstruating. But it shouldn't be that way, for as in the olden days, bathing is forbidden during menstruation for it may cause a lot of ailments and other harm or damage to the body. Even if they feel unclean during the whole time, still they are not required to take a bath. And it's all about blood circulation again, because their bodies are undergoing some processes and changes related to having the monthly period. The same is still true for the eyes that are tired and worn out from reading magazines, newspapers or browsing the web. Washing the eyes and the face are no good at all at this time. The eyes are very delicate, and if they are not relaxed and well-rested after some reading sessions, then they will be easily damaged. Eye problems will be common then, and visions could be impaired. Another thing worth writing about is all those people who, after eating or drinking something hot, say a hot soup, drink cold water or cold drinks right away. This is bad for the body the same way. And it's bad for the teeth too. We should never drink or eat anything cold after drinking or taking in some hot foods or drinks for we can feel the tingling sensation around the teeth right away, feeling like they're about to crack anytime. Lastly and one that should not be forgotten, is taking a bath in the evening especially before going to bed. It is very common in most people's routine. They feel more comfortable in bed enabling them to have a good night's sleep. But we have to remember that all day of working and doing things makes for a tired and worn-out bodies that need sufficient relaxation and rest. And while after bath the body feels refreshed, invigorated and clean all over, the damages it receives are there and will manifest themselves as we get older. The eyes, the muscles, the joints and almost every part is affected. This sounds gross or disgusting, but when we can't help doing it, we can use warm or hot water to bathe anytime in the evening and this is okay for the body. But always take our time to relax and rest even for just few minutes before taking the evening bath. Our eyes, our teeth, and our bodies as a whole remains strong when we take care of them even when we get older. But when we don't do the proper ways of caring for them, they are subjected to wear and tear, and the damages are often irreparable or irreversible. Prevention should always be the key to be strong and healthy for a very long time. Growing old is not necessary growing weaker and having a lot of ailments or diseases. Staying young while the age increases can be achieved if we follow those above.
