Devotees joined the solemn procession
on the eve of December 11, 2018 along V. Rama avenue, Cebu City where Joseph, the Holy Child Jesus and the Virgin Mary were paraded from and to the Guadalupe Church. Devotees along the route lighted their candles in front of their houses or stores to celebrate the event with some even preparing fireworks. On the following day December 12, the Blessed Virgin Mary was again paraded but this time, just around the Guadalupe Church. Any visitor could tell how religious and devoted Cebuanos are to Catholicism by witnessing thousands of devotees who traversed long roads and huge crowds during solemn processions. |
