Tribu Sa Kabataan 2020 is part of the Sinulog Festival 2020
in Cebu City, Philippines on the 12th of January. The parade of contingents started at the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño then to Osmeña Boulevard ending at the CCSC or the Cebu City Sports Center. The event started over an hour later than scheduled because of the rain but it all went well and even when the rain started pouring again during the parade, the contingents never stop from dancing in the streets. It was very lively and very entertaining. 2020 Sinulog Sa Kabataan Sa Lalawigan Street Dancing Parade
happened on the 11th of January in Cebu City, Philippines where contingents performed their routines starting at 1:00 PM from the Capitol Grounds all the way to the CCSC or the Cebu City Sports Center . There were only 6 contingents namely: Toledo City, Bogo City, Carcar City, Lapu-Lapu City, Talisay City and Ginatilan, Cebu. The Grand Launch of Sinulog Festival 2020 in Cebu City
was on January 10 with a Street Dancing Parade from the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu up to the Cebu City Sports Center. Many contingents danced all the way to the CCSC or the Cebu City Sports Center where the formal launch happened. You could see people's faces smiling and joyful as they previewed the event in Osmeña Boulevard.
On January 9, thousands of devotees joined Walk With Jesus,
the 1st Penitential Procession of the Sinulog Festival 2020 and the Opening Salvo. As early as 3:00 AM or even earlier, people already arrived at the Fuente Osmeña Rotunda, the starting point of the Procession, inspite of the downpour. The Procession started at 4:30 AM proceeding to Osmeña Boulevard and ending at the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño. And many in the huge crowd brought with them images of the Santo Niño or the Holy Child Jesus in varying sizes. Penitential Processions 2020: Walk With Jesus, Walk With Mary And The Solemn Foot Procession1/8/2020
As part of the Sinulog Festival every year,
3 Penitential Processions happen before the Sinulog Festival. On the 9th of January is Walk With Jesus and on the 17 of January is Walk With Mary both of them happenning very early in the morning around 4:00 AM from Fuente Osmeña Rotunda then along Osmeña Boulevard down to the Santo Niño Church or the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu. In case you haven't attended them before, people will gather around the Fuente Osmeña Rotunda as early as 3:00 AM or even much earlier bringing along images of the Santo Niño or the Little Child Jesus and also images of The Virgin Mary and The Holy Rosary. Candles can be bought around the area since a lot of candle vendors will be roaming.
Aside from the Grand Parade on the 3rd Sunday of January,
the Sinulog Festival itself, there are 3 parades worth attending to happening on 3 consecutive days and they are: The Sinulog Launch Parade on January 10 Friday, the Sinulog Sa Lalawigan on January 11 Saturday and Tribu Sa Kabataan on January 12 Sunday. The Sinulog Launch Parade will start at the Plaza Independencia very near Pier 1 and then proceed to Zamora Street, to Plaridel Extension then to Osmeña Boulevard and end at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC). It's posted that this parade will start at 4:00 PM right after the 2:30 PM Mass at the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño. Two new additions to the Sinulog Festivities will also be launched and they are Sinulog Sa Palaboy and Drum And Bugle Competition.

Thousands of devotees, visitors and tourists will be joining the procession
and the Mardi Gras as usual so the roads have to be clear all throughout the route. Park your car somewhere else or better, leave your car at home.
