​Taiwan is the first nation in all of Asia
to recognize same-sex marriage on May 24, 2019. As expected, the decision was well-received by the LGBT community but denounced by conservative and Christian groups.
Now that one nation recognizes same-sex marriage,
​is the Philippines ready to follow? Remember that this country is about 80% Catholic and Catholicism strongly opposed same-sex marriage. ​Feel free to express whatever you feel about it.
As born and baptized Catholic,
I strongly oppose same-sex marriage in every way. I know from the Holy Bible that man and woman was created by God to leave their families to unite and become one. Adam was created and meant to be with Eve and not meant to be with another Adam. And same with Eve; she was not created to be with another Eve. But I don't want to be harsh or mean or cruel to same-sex couples. It's not against my conviction for them to live together in one roof, to act as husbands and wives to each other and to live their lives like the usual, common family. That's totally and completely fine with me. That's all I approve of same-sex couples.
