PiliPinas Debates 2016 is a series of debates between Presidentiables and Vice Presidentiables administered by the COMELEC or Commission On Elections so that the voters are given the chance to know more of the candidates and can decide who they think deserves their votes in the coming May 9, 2016 elections. |
The first leg of the Presidential debate
was presented by Jessica Soho and Mike Enriquez of GMA News
and John Nery, editor in chief of Inquirer.net
and was held on February 21, 2016
at the Capitol University in Cagayan de Oro city
with media broadcast partners GMA 7
and Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The second leg of the Presidential debate
was hosted by TV5's Luchi Cruz-Valdez
and was held at the University Of The Philippines Cebu City
on March 20, 2016
with TV5, Philippine Star and BusinessWorld
as the broadcasting media partners.
The third leg of the debate
will be the Vice Presidential
on April 10, 2016
at the University Of Santo Tomas in Metro Manila
with CNN Philippines, Rappler
and Business Mirror as media partners.
And the last of the debates,
the Presidential,
will be on April 24, 2016
at the University Of Pangasinan in Dagupan City
with ABS-CBN and Manila Bulletin
as media partners for the event.
The Presidential Candidates are
Jejomar Binay, Miriam Defensor Santiago,
Rodrigo Duterte, Grace Poe Llamanzares
and Mar Roxas.
And the Vice Presidential Candidates are
Alan Peter Cayetano, Francis Escudero,
