who don't have good voices
as well as actors who can't act well
and oftentimes ridiculed
especially in social media.

But what really is talent
and what is considered 
good voice and good acting?
For singers,
high-pitched voice 
is considered the best
and if an artist 
couples it with whistle,
then it becomes very coveted.
Contenders in singing contests
perform this type of voice
to gain judges favor 
hoping to win.

Mariah Carey,
one of the most successful singers
in the world,
has this amazing voice
and aspiring singers
want to be like her.
But some listeners
don't prefer this type
because it gets boring
and even annoying
after few replays.
Unlike in jazz music,
singers don't use much of their voices
and just sing cool and calm
making it easy listening
even if it's played over and over.
Rock music and alternative
are mostly loud and rough
and gets unpleasant to the ears
in no time.
Artists in these type of music
don't have to be good singers.
Just about anyone can sing them
even with little practice.
Rap artists have the easiest job
because they just have to talk
to make music
and don't necessarily sing.

With acting,
actors doing drama
are oftentimes awarded for best actors
because they pour out
so much emotions
on television or movie.
Other actors starring in action,
adventure, comedy, horror, etc.
don't exert as much
acting and emotions.  
Actors who please
or entertain the audience
are most-loved
but they usually don't do drama.
Drama they say is boring
and just a little dose of drama
on television or movie
will suffice.
Drama movies many times
trail behind other movies
at the box office
but on television,
drama shows and series
fare well in the ratings. 

​So what now is considered talent
and good voice and good acting?
For singers,
even if you're just a rap artist
and don't necessarily sing,
jazz, rock or alternative artist
not doing high pitch or whistle,
what you do is a talent
and your voice no longer matters
especially when you gain
a lot of followers and fans
and you sell well.
For actors,
even if you don't receive
various awards
and critical acclaims,
when people adore you
and become your fans
and your show or movie
do well commercially,
then what you do is a talent
​and you yourself is a talent!
