The poor, if not the poorest of the poor,
always look for ways to survive the harsh life in the city. Scavenging garbage can be rewarding by finding food leftovers from houses and restaurants. And these food leftovers are washed and cooked to be consumed and at times, sold back.
This is reality in big cities where food leftovers
can be found in the dumpster or in garbage areas. Meat leftovers from restaurants are the most common and they can be washed and cooked again to be consumed. A lot of times, they are added with spices and seasonings just like anyone would cook fresh meat from the market, instead of just letting the meat or other food leftovers rot in the garbage. It's not as gross or unfit for consumption as some people think. These leftovers are recooked for some time making sure no germs survive. You never know it came from the dumpster unless somebody tells you.
