The Baluchistan Pygmy Jerboa
is the smallest and cutest rodent in the world.
This animal is considered
endemic to Pakistan but there's a good possibility that it is found in Afghanistan since these two countries lie next to each other. It grows to an average of 1.7 inches for adults in head and body length that looks like a cotton ball, with its long tail averaging 3.1 inches.
It's also named
as dwarf three-toed jerboa and lives in the plains and sand dunes in the deserts. It is nocturnal or active during the night and feeds on seeds and leaves of desert-adapted plants. But they are hunted down by sand vipers, monitor lizards and sand cats living in the desert.
