Drinking warm water
in the morning or after meals and even before bedtime is naturally great for your body.
Humans are naturally warm-blooded
and one natural way to great health is to keep it that way all the time. The normal functions of your body and your many organs are made possible through your warm-bloodedness. Anything that disrupts these functions even for a short period of time will greatly impact your health and your overall wellbeing. So drinking cold water is bad for you. Even though you think you really need to freshen up by drinking cold water especially during summer, when you feel hot and very uncomfortable, you need to pass up on that. Cold water decreases body temperature and so decreases metabolic rate or the rate your body burns calories. Simply think of cold water as slowing down the processes of your body, and these very processes are the very ones that keep you alive and well. A lot of people have been drinking cold water straight from the fridge right after meals or snacks for years and years already thinking it's thirst-quenching and refreshing. And worse, even right after sipping hot soups or consuming hot meals, cold water or cold softdrinks have always been the way to go. They're fully unaware that anything cold you drink right after meals will cause the oils in them to harden and create a fat deposit in the intestine which will disrupt its normal functions. If the normal process of one organ is disrupted, it will lead to the disruption of the normal processes of the other organs. Think about this as traffic in one city street that leads to traffic in many others. But warm water after meals help break down the oils and the food faster so they're easier for you to digest.
One health benefit of drinking warm water every single day,
may it be in the morning after waking up or in the evening before bedtime, is to help you breathe easily and enable you to sustain physical activities like never before. I personally know this from my uncle who had a history of hypertension or high blood pressure. When he started drinking two glasses of warm water right after waking up in the morning and another two glasses before going to bed at night, his breathing also started to be smooth or unobstructed unlike before, and walking or hiking in the hills and doing some physical activities became so much easier for him. Warm water tastes somewhat repulsive at first, but you'll learn to love it once you experience the benefits. But do not try to drink hot water that you can't tolerate because it can be damaging to the tissue in the mouth and esophagus. A lot of people will find this health tip hard to do or simply impossible to maintain because from time to time, especially during a hot day, they think of cold water as a great relief. But maybe you can do it once in a very long while, but never make it a habit or part of your daily routine. It's never a good thing and in fact, it can be fatal. I heard stories of basketball players who right after the game, drank cold water and right then and there, they passed out or fainted and never recovered.
