A Boy Carrying A Toddler On His Back

This may be a normal photo 
that should not cause any outpouring of emotions 
from anyone viewing. 
Normally, 
an older brother can carry his younger sibling around 
even on his back 
​when parents are not around 
and there's no one else to do it.

​But because the scene is captured
inside what looks like a classroom,
then everything becomes sad 
and even depressing.
A child in school 
should not be doing this,
carrying a toddler on his back
if only parents are doing their part. 
​
But maybe I'm judging them too much.
Being poor and living in misery
has this scene almost on a daily basis
in many parts of the world.
Poor parents,
no matter how hard they work for a living
can't provide enough for their family,
that's why this whole thing is happening,
and it's heart-breaking. 

And in this case, 
working hard all day and all night 
doesn't guarantee a comfortable life 
especially when your livelihood is peddling 
or being a street vendor 
or just an ordinary worker. 
Your earnings are not enough for a family 
especially when you have many mouths to feed. 
You still end up barely making ends meet 
or not making ends meet at all.

There are jobs too 
that don't even offer minimum wage 
so as a worker, 
you have to be economical all the time 
and save whatever you can just to make it through. 
It's tough and there are so many of them 
in this situation. 

So before you dream of a family of your own, 
think about jobs and business 
and other means of making money.
Save first before getting married. 
And when you're married 
or when you decide to live together with your partner, 
limit the number of children if possible. 
Have a family planning method 
so you will have a good future. 
Not necessarily rich 
but as long as you can provide for the family 
then that will be enough. 
And don't let your child end up 
carrying his baby brother to school 
because you as parents can't take care of him.
