"Waking up at the right side of bed",
"Putting your best foot forward" and "Live life to the fullest" are some of the things that we don't fully understand. There is no real definition for each, and it's really up to anyone to figure out.
First, what do we mean when we say
"wake up at the right side of the bed"? Does it literally mean the right side as opposed to the left, or either the left or the right that feels right to you? It's confusing to note, and it's very hard to figure out. Which side of the bed is the right side, the left or the right? And how do we know if we wake up at the right side of the bed? Whoever said this first maybe had no idea what he was talking about. Or was he talking about some wisdom here? Maybe. The only acceptable explanation for this is when we end our day with positivity, productivity or feeling happy and fulfilled throughout means that we woke up at the right side of the bed. Or simply, we end the day right because we woke up at the right side of the bed. Just my wholehearted opinion, though. Next, "putting your best foot forward", again something that is hard to grasp because the first thing that comes to mind is why does it say best foot when we only have two? It should be "putting your better foot forward", but again, we have to ask ourselves: which foot is better, the left or the right? This is crazy. The one who said this first is worse than the one who first said "wake up at the right of the bed". And at the end of the day, how do we know if we had put our better foot forward? What have we accomplished? Suppose we put our better foot forward, what can we expect at the end of the day? Does it mean that we kept on moving forward smoothly without misses or obstacles, or maybe not quitting the entire time? Or maybe we had a successful, productive day, or had a successful journey? I wanna be enlightened now, I need someone to explain this to me fully. I think I'll go crazy trying to figure this out.
And last and definitely as confusing
as the first two is "living life to the fullest". Of the three phrases, this one's got to have the most number of times spoken by anyone. When someone has a successful career, or is happy and fulfilled he always says it's because he's living life to the fullest. And when someone advices another, he will always say just "live your life to the fullest". Really? Well thank you for that wonderful advice, but I have to ask you sir: how do I live my life to the fullest? How will I do it? I just don't understand such a life to the fullest! But maybe if we give it a try, we would say it's living our lives to the fullest of our capabilities or abilities, doing things without hesitation or inhibition. Or living our lives with all our strength and knowledge and wisdom maybe, or not wasting even one moment of our existence so that we can live our lives every second of it. Sigh. Whatever... I don't know what to say more about these things. I don't have a clear mind for such for even if they are simply written, they are too deep for me to understand and the only thing that could make me unravel their full meaning is when God gives me the wisdom to explain in detail. There are so much things in this world that we don't fully know no matter how hard we try and that's for all time to come because we are only humans, not gods. And only gods can fully explain such things. God created us in His Image And Likeness but we'll never become His level. Even the wisest we can be will just be a drop of water in the ocean, a grain of sand along the seashore. And even if we all live all eternity, our combined knowledge of the whole universe will just be literally nothing compared to the knowledge and wisdom of God.
