A poor man can be rich in no time
if he is determined to be and if he works hard. A fool will become wise if he listens to advice and if he opens himself up to learning.
An ugly guy can be handsome in no time
if he has a good heart, if he learns to be confident, if he exercises and becomes tone and fit, if he goes on a healthy diet, etc. Every dream a person has can be fulfilled if he never stops chasing his dreams, if he endures the hardships, if he never gives up. His dreams will take him to Mars, to Jupiter, to Saturn and even beyond Pluto. And later on, he will be able to solve the riddles of the universe, the forces behind it and all the elements that make it. He will become as wise as the gods, making all the impossible possible. But can he become perfect, as perfect as The Almighty? Of course he can never be. We have to think again. Everyday we read about innovations and technological advancements in many fields making our lives better and more livable and exciting and there seems to be no end in sight. All mankind has done is to improve and make better everything around him because that makes up all his dreams - dreams that are all about material things. He wants the world to be a better place and makes it a paradise but he forgets one very important thing: himself. He forgets that before he can make anything around him better, he should start first with himself. Because how can man make better anything around him when he himself is living a wicked life, when his everyday existence is full of sin and wrongdoing?
Man has been sailing far out in the ocean
trying to catch some fish when the fishes are swimming near the shore. He has been looking out far into the heavens trying to find reasons for his existence and yet not looking deep within him. His dreams do not include the betterment of himself, and doesn't even acknowledge that he himself needs improvement. He sees the flaws in everything around him but is blinded by his own. All these clearly show that to make better of ourselves is the hardest thing to do, even to make ourselves good. To be good is very hard that's why only rare people made it. It's definitely the hardest one to achieve, and so much harder than anything else. And you know why? To be good involves so many things, if not so much. To be good means: to be kind, loving, respectful, benevolent, generous, sharing, humble, considerate, caring, compassionate, courteous, merciful, forgiving, helpful, honest, impartial, sincere, peaceful, pure, selfless, righteous, thankful, understanding, truthful, etc. If you lack just one of those, then you can't be considered good for it will ruin everything else. You can never be considered humble if you are not kind, you can never be selfless if you are not generous, you're not honest if you're not sincere, you're not caring if you're not sharing, and so on and on. When you only care about people who care about you or loving them when they love you, are you doing something good or something extraordinary? Of course not. And if you only wish good things for your friends but only curses for your enemies, then you're definitely bad. Remember that God lets the sun shine on good and bad people alike. And He lets the rain fall on the fields owned by good and bad people too. So you better do the same thing. All your goodness should be done to everyone - rich and poor, good and bad. And one more thing. If you do all the good to your fellow but don't believe in a Supreme Being, and don't acknowledge The Almighty One Who made Heaven and earth and the whole universe, then all your doing good for your fellow will mean nothing at all! Believing, acknowledging, praising, worshiping and giving thanks to the Holy One is definitely first and foremost!
