that we are definitely going to find alien life
sooner than we ever thought -
that is, in 20-30 years!
Or aren't you?
last April 7 by Ellen Stofan,
a top NASA scientist
and a former astronaut John Grunsfeld,
who is now associate administrator
for NASA's Science Mission Directorate
said that we are very close to finding alien life
maybe on the red planet Mars
or on an icy moon around some planet
in our very own solar system,
and also beyond which is a much bigger place,
there maybe more life-sustaining environments out there.
Recent discoveries point to Jupiter's moons
Europa and Ganymedeand Saturn's Enceladus,
that beneath their icy shelves
there are oceans of liquid water.
And in the ancient past,
Mars was covered by oceans
and what is now observed
as seasonal dark streaks in its surface
maybe caused by salty water from the oceans before.
Alien life is not just about human-like creatures,
it can be something microscopic,
or insect-like or anything that's alive.
It's exciting to note
that after looking at the vastness of the universe,
we can finally say
that it's not a waste of space after all!
And we are only looking at a tiny fraction,
how much the entirety of the universe!
There's got to be zillions and zillions of creatures
living in environments different from ours.
Life on earth is unique
and life in other places in the universe is unique too.
I believe no two are alike.
No planet can duplicate life on earth
and the earth can't do the same.
You know here on earth,
there's still so much to explore and discover.
The rain forests in many parts of the world
are left unchartered,
and even the oceans are still mysterious
because we know so little
about the living beings and creatures living in the deep.
And thinking about the whole universe,
what more can I say?
No matter how long we live on earth
or how many lifetimes we are given,
we will only know just a bit,
like a drop of water in the ocean
or a tiny speck of dust in the planet.
It will surely take us forever
to know what's out there!
God The Almighty never gives us the ability
to fully know and understand his creation.
We must stand in awe of Him all the time and forever!
