or caused you pain
and naturally you struck back to get even.
because you didn't deserve such.
Even if you believe in karma,
or the eternal laws of God
that clearly states
that no wrongdoing escapes unpunished
or that God always pays back for every wrong done,
you still chose to pay back your way.
Your pride urged you to avenge
because you can't bear to see yourself
inflicted by anyone
and you felt nobody
has the right to hurt you or cause you pain.
But how wrong we all are
by feeling that way.
And how unbelieving we have been
by not relying on God's laws.
God' laws never fail even once
and it remains that way forever.
Punishment for wrongdoing
may take a long time to happen
but will surely happen.
It's just that
there's a time set for it to happen
just like everything else.
And everything happens in God's set time.
Patience, just patience.
and do not take vengeance for yourself
for you don't have the right to pay back,
only God has.
Besides,
your payback maybe more than is due
and you maybe causing more pain,
injury, embarrassment, etc. than what is deserved.
It should always be a tooth for a tooth,
an eye for an eye, a foot for a foot and no more.
When you want to have it your way,
then think about this:
if someone slapped your face once,
then slap his face back
but only once not twice or three times.
Give to him back exactly
what you received from him
and no more, no less.
But the big question is,
how can you be sure that your payback
is not more and not less than what is deserved?
So don't spend time for vengeance
and let God do it for you
because He's the only one who knows how.
And also remember to reflect
on your attitude, your behavior
that might be causing someone to hurt you.
Maybe you deserve the hurt after all.
You might not realize it.
There were some things we did
that we all thought were okay
but not okay for other people.
So think again.
