why we don't receive what we prayed for
or why we are not granted what we wished for.
we can readily say
that it is because
we don't deserve it
and we deserve something else,
it maybe something better or worse.
It all depends on the kind of person
that we all are.
If we are good people,
then we will be given with good things.
But if we are not,
then as expected,
God will never give us what we prayed for.
Then we can also say
that we don't receive it
because our motives are selfish or evil,
and they only concern us
and not for the many.
Our prayers and wishes
shouldn't just be for our own good
but for the good of our families, friends, etc.
There are times we feel frustrated
and also disappointed
because we feel God never listens.
But we have to keep in mind
that we don't receive it
because it's not the right time
for us to have it yet
and all we have to do
is believe in God's time,
the time set by God to be the right time
to receive it already.
There's nothing we can do about it
and the only thing left for us to do
is to be patient in waiting for that time
because it will come sooner than we expected.
It also depends so much
on what we pray for.
If we pray for money,
then we have to show God
that we have the kind of hearts
to share with those who are in need.
He examines our whole being every time
and when He finds out
that what we have inside
are only selfishness and greed,
then He will not give it
no matter how many times
we ask for it.
Every time we do good,
we please God
and the good that we do
will be done to us in return.
And that's good karma,
God's reward for doing good.
The prayers of a good man
go up to the clouds
and go beyond space
and ending in Heaven
where God listens.
And whatever he asks for
will be granted in less time.
But those coming from sinners
will take a long time to be answered
for God is slow to respond to their prayers
or not respond at all
for their motives are always evil.
They never pray for the good of others
but only for themselves.
And their prayers are all about the money,
the wealth, the influence
and the power to control people's lives
and especially oppression of the poor.
One thing that is always true is
our prayers concerning material things
are not the kind of prayers
God listens to and grants
for they will make us forget Him
or totally abandon Him.
The best prayer to ask for
should be Wisdom and Enlightenment
for these two valuable things
are the greatest that we can have in this life
and no other thing can equal their worth.
They will become the source of
all the other good things in this world.
That's why when King Solomon
was granted the Wisdom he asked for,
he was also given all the riches and wealth
that no one ever had or will ever have again.
Money, riches or wealth
never amount to anything
when compared to Wisdom and Enlightenment.
Lastly,
every time we pray for something,
we have to do it with humble hearts
so that God will listen.
We have to pray for the good of others
and all our intentions should be good.
And if possible,
we should take our time of prayer
inside the church
and not just in the convenience of our houses
because going to church
is a kind of sacrifice that pleases God.
Do you know the best or the ideal time to go to church?
It's first thing in the morning
when you wake up before the sun rises.
You take a bath and wear decent clothing
to show your reverence or deep respect.
Don't eat or drink anything yet
when you go to church.
Let the Holy Eucharist or the Communion
be the first thing to enter your mouth
and into your stomach.
