Why You Don't Have To Be Too Materialistic

​Look around you and you will clearly see
that there are so many poor people,
in ragged clothes and dirty appearance,
who beg around or wait for someone
to receive something from to make it through the day.

You don't have to pile up money and riches.

They own nothing:
no money, houses, no properties
and can't even change the clothing they wore.
Jobless, not because they're lazy,
but because they never went to school
and businesses don't hire such people as these
leaving them no choice but settle
to being parking attendants,
car washers on stop lights
or just plain beggars. 

When you open your hearts wide
and humble down,
you will feel for those people.
They're life in poverty and misery
will be as if you're living in them too.
Your heart will soften right away
making you generous and benevolent. 
Your big dreams now include the poor
because you already realized
that your riches and everything you own
are God's gifts and not your doing
and you have no right to enjoy them alone.
Just by looking at them will bring you
to your deepest humility and kindness.
Then you will never live your life for yourself only
but also for those in need. 

Then sooner,
you will realize that material things
don't mean anything at all.
Everything in this world belongs to God
and if you don't share what you have
with your fellow men,
you will be severely punished
because you never give a damn.
God made the earth and everything in it for everyone,
so why do you live comfortably
while the others,
who are so many,
live miserably?
Don't be unfair
and don't think that your riches
come from your hardwork alone.
God gave them all to you
with the responsibility of taking care of your fellow.
But if you ignore that responsibility,
God will take away all you have
and give it to someone else.
And don't keep pursuing money and riches
just to pile them up in banks or somewhere else
because you never know when your time is up.  
If you already have so much,
don't wait for another day to help your fellow.
Share with them right away
because you may suddenly die the following day
and somebody else will enjoy.
