---------- The Child Who Never Wants To Play ----------
In a small and progressive town in the south, lived a family of a doctor-husband and a nurse-wife. They both worked in the same government hospital in the town. They had been married for 6 years already, and had only one child who was 5 years old. A babysitter was hired to look out for him
The child's name was Bradley, very handsome and very cute little darling.
He had a robust form, and anyone could see that he had very good health. With lovely eyes and kissable little lips, he could easily get close to anyone who noticed him even the first time. He was adorable and a kind of shy type of a child. His mom and dad were busy working day and night in the hospital attending to patients who were not just from the town but from nearby and far areas. Around the neighborhood, children were playing day after day, laughing and having so much fun. But little Bradley just stayed at home, and sometimes went near their gate to watch the kids at play. He didn't want to mingle, even though he smiled every time he saw some kids running around enjoying under the sun. He was always like that - sad and lonely, and always wanting to be alone. Then one day, his parents arrived home and noticed him in the garden. There he was, sitting on the grass all by himself. When he saw them, he smiled a little then turned back to his sad face. A sudden feeling of care and concern struck both the parents. They helped him get up, and the father couldn't help but carry the boy in his arms. Bradley was teary-eyed already and just hugged his father tight. "What's the matter baby?" asked his dad. "I feel so all alone dad." he replied. "And why? Your mom and me love you so much." "But you both are always at work. I feel nobody cares for me." Bradley said with a sad voice. "That's not true baby. We work hard for you and your future." his mom said reassuringly with tears in her eyes. Then they went inside the house and cried so much when both parents realized how wrong they were to just work and work without even realizing they were missing time with Bradley. And so from then on, they promised to spend so much more time with Bradley than ever before. And they made sure that the child was taken care of every single day. And since that time, Bradley was no longer the shy type of a child, and he was no longer sad and lonely. He just wanted to play! ---------- Moral Of The Story ---------- Working too hard for the money makes you overlook the important things in life.
