is totally brutal and horrifying.
in the oceans
and have been around
for hundreds of millions of years.
What would the oceans be like
without these animals?
Certainly,
they won't be around for long
or they wouldn't be home
to millions of aquatic lifeforms.
Fishing them out of the oceans
for their fins is simply brutal
and intolerable to witness.
And after the fins are removed,
they are thrown back to the ocean
only to die or be eaten by other animals
because it's already impossible for them
to swim around without the fins.
It's high time to ban the sale
and consumption of fins
everywhere in the world
especially here in Asia,
and in the Philippines in particular,
where there are restaurants
in the big cities
serving fin soups
which they claim are very nutritious
and can even cure cancer
and other serious illnesses.
in the ocean,
I wouldn't mind
not tasting shark fin soups
all of my life.
The harvest procedure is violent
and brutal
showing how unconscientious
these harvesters are.
To me, these guys are criminals.
But maybe they don't know
the value or role of sharks
in the ecosystem.
Sharks prey on the weak
and sick aquatic animals
keeping the healthy ones alive
and reproduce more
just like what the top land predators do.
Also,
populations of other marine species
are prevented from becoming too populous
when sharks are around.
Don't be tempted to consume shark fins
even when they say
they're all delicious and nutritious.
Let's all save the sharks
if we want to keep the oceans
till the end of the world.
