The sun will be totally blocked by the moon
in some parts of the world on March 8, 2016 particularly in Indonesia including Sumatra, Borneo, and Sulawesi, and from locations in the Pacific Ocean while some parts of the world Northern and Eastern Australia, South Asia, East Asia will only have a partial solar eclipse.
Watch the solar eclipse live below.
The eclipse begins on March 8, 2016 at 23:19 UTC and its maximum point takes place on March 9, 2016 at 01:59 UTC. The total solar eclipse lasts for 4 minutes and 9 seconds. During solar eclipse, the sun is considered defeated by the moon even if it's the bigger celestial body and the moon just shares from its light. The sun is the source of light for the earth and when it loses its brightness, the earth plunges into darkness. It's like the day has turned into night, like the darkness has taken over the light. Even if it loses part of its brightness, still everything becomes dark and gloomy. The atmosphere then becomes sad and depressing. Among the forces of nature that influences the life of mankind, the sun is the most powerful because it is the biggest object. Life on planet earth too can never be without the sun. But humans should, if possible, never be affected by eclipses of the sun. The sun is only an outside force, and even if it's very powerful, it's not as powerful as man's willpower.
