Christmas season is already here
and as part of the Filipino Catholics' tradition is the Misa De Gallo which is the nine consecutive days of Holy Mass beginning on December 16 and ends on December 24.
The mass begins early in the morning
around 4:00 A.M. everyday with the first day being the most attended.
Here in Cebu City,
at the Basilica Minore Del Santo Niño, thousands of Catholics attended the first day and most of them families and friends. It was a very wet morning as the rains came hours before but that didn't stop the devotees from flocking the church even before the gates were opened. The long-held belief is that attending the whole nine days of Misa De Gallo will most likely grant all your prayers and requests and even so much more blessings.
