Cleaning our teeth all the time is part of health and hygiene
and taking care of our whole body. Using toothbrush, floss and mouthwash is enough but there's one more to consider.
The way to clean our teeth is much like the ways
we clean our whole body, giving a little extra care to our faces. A healthy and clean body includes a healthy and clean teeth too. Nice set of teeth makes for a great smile and people get attracted right away. Every time we open our mouth, the teeth instantly grabs the attention of others. Their eyes focus on the curvature and the alignment of both the upper and lower sets. If we don't have a nice set, we can go to the dentist or orthodontist to correct the flaw or simply improve their appearance. And how do take care of our teeth? And what's the best way? The dentists always advice on brushing at least three times a day right after meals using a good cleaning brush and a toothpaste with a good amount of fluoride. And use floss to clean out in between teeth that brushing alone can't do. Then finish it off by gargling a mouthwash. They say that would be enough and it will give us a very healthy and strong teeth.
But there is one thing about that whole cleaning process
that is pretty much noticeable right then and there. If we use our tongue to touch the surfaces of our teeth, we feel there are rough spots and nowhere near smooth. And even if we brush longer, still they don't feel smooth at all as if there are coatings of food left over. And the flossing and the gargling of mouthwash don't smoothen the surfaces at all. With this concern, a clean piece of cloth or clean tissue may help a lot. Maybe this may confuse or even alarm anyone of you. Why is a piece of cloth or tissue involved in cleaning the teeth? It's used to rub off the rough spots on our teeth. We simply wipe the surfaces with the cloth or tissue until we feel smooth with our tongue. For me, the right way of doing everything about cleaning the teeth is in this order: first, use the dental floss or thread and insert it in between teeth then pull it front and back until the gaps are clean. second, brush the teeth using a good toothpaste including the innermost teeth. third, wipe every tooth's surface with the clean cloth or tissue to remove those coating-like leftovers. and finally, gargle with a mouthwash. That's it. We're done. And doing it makes for a healthier and stronger teeth. Things to remember: If we are on a tight budget, we can use a clean thread instead of dental floss but with extra care in doing it because it can easily hurt the gums and bleed. And the thread is very cheap and lasts for years if you just use a foot of it every time. We can skip the mouthwash if we want to consider our savings. People in the highlands who don't spend much on toothpaste just pull off some tiny branches of shrubs to scrub the teeth and they clean a lot too even without toothbrush and toothpaste. And any piece of cloth or tissue can smoothen the surfaces of teeth more than a toothbrush can.
