Vitamin and mineral supplements
provide the body with the needed nutrients in order to nourish, protect and make it healthy and strong.
But taking it on a daily basis may not be that ideal for anyone
especially when one is not doing anything at all like staying the whole day at home and not doing anything strenuous. Supplements should only be taken when there is an extra work to be done than normal, like when one joins some marathon around town or involves in some physical activities that is not part of his usual routine. That's the ideal time to take the much-needed supplement to sustain the said activities. From meals or snacks alone, there are already nutrients abounding, so when taking additional vitamins and minerals, one could end up consuming so much more vitamins and minerals of what is considered normal in a day. Anything taken too much is certainly bad for anyone. And taking too much vitamins and minerals in a day is no different besides wasting some money. The body will be overwhelmed by the abundance of nutrients that those that are not absorbed will just be flushed out of the system, and that's a whole lot of wasted supplements. And there will be a good chance the body will depend on them already and not able to extract nutrients from the food one eats during meals or snacks. A lot of the supplements on the market today are created in some laboratories and not really extracted from natural sources such as plants or fruits. Although their manufacturing process involved a lot of research and studies, they are still synthetic or artificially made. These days, those laboratories still can't match or equal the natural potency of the vitamins and minerals and other nutrients found in plants or fruits. From that alone, we clearly understand that they are not ideal for our bodies. They may work like natural vitamins, but they are considered not as good. But in the future, we can only hope that those supplements will work like those natural nutrients and even will be more potent. That's a big possibility.
